A sponsorship that saves lives

Besides schooling, our sponsored children also receive medical care. That is not a side matter — sometimes it decides between life and death.

Thanks to the swift action of our helpers on the ground we were able to save the lives of two sponsored children: Daniel and Christine. Both were treated, examined and cared for in the local hospital for several days.

This year part of our team spent an entire day with a sponsored child in hospital, to make sure it received the best treatment available locally. Anyone who knows the conditions understands: being present is often the difference between being treated and being overlooked.

Thanks to our colleagues, further examinations and proper medical care, both children are well again.
