A distinguished visitor from Uganda

The members of Apwoyo e. V. received a very special visit: Father John from Hoima in Uganda, a long-standing friend of our volunteers, was standing in during the holidays in Sulzbach in the Saarland and took the opportunity to visit his friends in Serrig. After the helpers’ most recent stay in Uganda it was a joyful reunion.

Father John praised his friends’ commitment and thanked them for their work in his home country.

“On the helpers’ next trip in January 2024 there will be a reunion in Uganda. We will visit Father John in his parish and support the people in need directly on the ground,” announced Ingbert Dawen, founder of the project.

During his stay a joint mass was held with the local priest Klaus Feid in the church of St Martin in Serrig.
